Traditional filters work after the fact. The simulator’s output is fed into a low-pass filter that attempts to smooth a very raw, mechanical signal only after each cycle update (every 16ms in the case of iRacing @ 60 Hz).
New VRS NextGen FFB filters apply up to 100% of a cycle sooner, acting in unison with the simulator’s output. This not only introduces zero latency, but also delivers a far smoother and connected driving experience. Previous compromises between smooth feel and reactive FFB are no longer necessary.

A direct-drive wheel base connects the steering wheel straight to the motor — no belts or gears — so every force you feel is immediate and true to the track. The VRS DFP15 is our compact, wireless and affordable route into direct drive, built on the proven durability of its predecessor. Its industry-leading 5-pole motor delivers 15Nm of peak torque with continuous, low-latency force feedback, housed in a rigid, full-aluminium construction.
Is 15Nm enough for sim racing?
For the vast majority of drivers, yes. 15Nm of direct-drive torque delivers detailed, consistent force feedback lap after lap — enough to feel every crest, crease and camber on the track, whether you are running sprints or endurance. Because it is direct drive, that force stays smooth and low-latency instead of being filtered through belts or gears.
